SKILLS ASSESSMENT

It’s the applicant’s duty to have their skills assessed by the relevant authority and provide evidence of it. Said evidence is an essential component of the Points Based migration. Bluestone’s vast knowledge and professional relationship with various authorities will benefit the applicant in having their skills assessed.

RELEVANT OCCUPATION

The relevant occupation has been set out by the Department of Home Affairs which came into effect as of 18th April 2017. Applicants who require a skill assessment of their skills for visa purposes have to apply for said assessment with the relevant assessing authority in person.

POINTS TABLE

The Department of Home Affairs has set a minimum score of 65 points at the time you are invited to apply for the visa in order to be eligible to apply for the Points Based Visas.

You can calculate your score using the points calculator here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/points-calculator

HEALTH AND CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS

In addition, there are further requirements that an applicant needs to satisfy, such as health and character references. This requires the applicant and another family member who applies for the Skilled Independent subclass 189 visa to undergo a medical examination and provide police certificates from each country you have lived in for 12 months in the last 10 years.
